StatusCake

Sends reports via email, SMS, and Slack to our technical staff. StatusCake can sometimes trigger off some security tools which might mistake it for an intrusion. For this reason we make sure IT departments are aware that it's in use for our clients. A whitelist for StatusCake can be found here.

Monitors:

  • Server health (for clients that Skunkworks has set up with a server from DigitalOcean)
  • SSL Certificate status
  • Domain registration status
  • PageSpeed Tests
  • Virus Scans
  • Checks status of critical website and SEO related files.
    • Monitors the website's htaccess file
    • Monitors the website's robots.txt file

DigitalOcean

For clients that Skunkworks has set up with a server from DigitalOcean. Sends reports via email, and Slack to our technical staff.

Monitors:

  • Server disk space usage
  • Server CPU usage
  • Server memory usage
  • Server Network activity

Uptime Robot

A fallback monitoring platform. Sends reports via email to our technical staff.

Monitors:

  • Website availability to visitors

ChangeDetection.Com

Looks for changes to critical SEO related files. Sends reports via email to our technical staff.

Monitors:

  • Monitors the website's robots.txt file

iThemes Security

All Skunkworks client sites utilize iThemes Security which watches for suspicious behaviour. Sends reports via email to our technical staff.

Monitors:

  • Intrusion attempts

Cloudflare

The vast majority of Skunkworks client utilize Cloudflare for DNS. Cloudflare Sends reports via email to our technical staff.

Monitors:

  • Intrusion attempts
  • DDOS attacks
  • Other suspicious or malicious activity.
